gevolgd door een kerstreceptie.

"The oil is running out and we need to find more sustainable alternatives for making fuels and materials
of the future. Sunlight can be an important solution here. This could indirectly be achieved through
the use of biomass, which can be converted to new chemical building blocks in a so-called
biorefinery. A more challenging solution is to convert CO2 and water to ‘solar fuels’.
This way, CO2 is used efficiently and we simulate in fact plants. Catalysis plays a crucial role in both sustainable routes."
