English taught track Master of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (120 credits)
The Faculty of Science has not yet got a full English taught Master of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. However within the framework of the Dutch version of this master, master in de biochemie en biotechnologie, there is a possibility to take an English taught track. What does this mean? A student can become a master in de biochemie en biotechnologie and only take English taught courses. There is a set track of courses that are in English:
Basic courses (18 cts)
- Model organisms in functional genomics (6 cts)
- Physical chemistry of biological systems (6 cts)
- Advanced enzymology I (3 cts)
- Advanced enzymology II (3 cts)
Specialized courses (72 cts)
- Biomolecular recognition (6 cts)
- Biomolecular modelling (6 cts)
- Determination of biomolecular structures (6 cts)
- Nanostructured bio-macromolecules (6 cts)
- Biophysics of membranes (6 cts)
- Mechanisms of signal transduction and cell regulation (6 cts)
