Request and Permission Forms

Here you find the e-forms for the following requests (only applicable within the current academic year) :

 

The obtained study results can be found on the official diploma supplement. Sometimes it might be required to have a separate transcript of all your study results (eg As long as the official diploma supplement is not available OR to comply with particular requests ...). In these cases you can send a request to the faculty for obtaining transcripts.

Application form transcripts

 

With this request you can ask exemption for one or more courses within your program.
(Exemption is the removal of the obligation to sit an examination for a course unit or a part on the grounds of a credit certificate, another study certificate or a certificate of aptitude)
It is mandatory to attach a copy or the webpage of the course guide, containing the content of the equivalent course unit to this request.

Attention !

  • If you are already registered at KU Leuven and want to ask exemption for one or more courses within your program, you have to submit this request via the application in KU Loket
  • If you are not (yet) a student at KU Leuven and you want to have information concerning possible exemptions, you can use the request form for exemptions Request exemption

 

In case you want to register for a credit contract (or an exam contract to obtain an individual credit certificate), permission from the faculty must be asked.
With the obtained permission you can register at the Registrar’s Office (Naamsestraat 22, Leuven). Once your registration is in order, you have to complete your ISP and IER.

(Exceptions ! Master of Geography, Master of Geology and Master of Space Studies)

  • Incoming

It is possible for students of other universities of the Flemish or French community or institution of the KU Leuven Association to follow an elective course at KU Leuven. Permission from the faculty must be obtained.

  • Outgoing

Students of KU Leuven who want to follow an elective course at another university of the Flemish or French community or institution of the KU Leuven Association must ask permission from the faculty.

Interuniversity programme Master of Geography

Students who are enrolled for the interuniversity programme Master of Geography (in collaboration with VUB) must follow the instructions on the webpage of the programme Master of Geography.
For courses that are taught at another university (i.e. courses not at KU Leuven or VUB courses outside of the Master of Geography programme) the instructions in section 2 (see above) should be followed.

Interuniversity programme Master of Geology

Students who are enrolled for the programme Master of Geology which is part of a partnership with UGent must follow the instructions on the webpage of the programme Master of Geology.
For courses that are taught at another university (i.e. courses not at KU Leuven or UGent courses outside of the Master of Geology programme) the instructions in section 2 (see above) should be followed.

Interuniversity programme Master of Space Studies

Students who are enrolled for the programme Master of Space Studies which is part of a partnership with UGent must follow the instructions on the webpage of the programme Master of Space Studies.
For courses that are taught at another university (i.e. courses not at KU Leuven or UGent courses not included in the Master of Space Studies programme) the instructions in section 2 (see above) should be followed.

 

Students who wish to graduate in January with a master's thesis or internship must submit an application to the faculty administration by December 15th. This link will be available from December 1 st to 15th .
